Across the Globe in 6 Months

Welcome to ‘Across the Globe in 6 Months’.

In this Read Along we are travelling vicariously through books set in different parts of the world and/about people of different cultures, beliefs and sexual orientations. Our reading plan is in line with Tusome Books' mission to eliminate stereotypes about places and their peoples, and to replace those stereotypes with narratives that reflect their true nature. We started this read along in February 2021 and we’ll continue to July 2021.

Our TBR:

  • ‘Older Brother’ by Mahir Guven - February (Watch conversation with Mahir Guven)

  • ‘The Break’ by Katherena Vermette - March

  • ‘How to Pronounce Knife’ by Souvankham Thammavongsa - April

  • ‘Hiding in Plain Sight’ by Nurrudin Farrah - May

  • ‘We Have Always Been Here’ by Samra Habib - June

  • ‘The Skin We're In’ by Desmond Cole - July

Join ‘Across the Globe in 6 Months‘ Facebook group where our chats happen and meeting information is announced.
